The iStarUSA iSCSI storage system provides removable drive trays with key lock and each tray built-in power, HDD activity LED indicators for displaying the status of each single hard disk. The HDD backplane supports SGPIO for HDD fail signal management and environmental detecting for fan stop or temperature over limited with failure LEDs and mutable buzzer alarm. Advance thermal cooling design with tool-less hot-swap fan for self-contained ventilation that optimizes airflow to keep system cooler and easy maintenance.

Build in RAID technology with multiple RAID selection to support RAID level 0, 1, 10, 3, 5, 6, 50, 60, or JBOD and Online Array roaming, RAID level stripe, size migration, capacity expansion, RAID level migration simultaneously, volume set growth. Automatic drive detection due to drive insertion / removal occurs and rebuilding when the drive failure (with standby drive). The instant availability and background initialization this means that the data remains intact, and the array can be used while the initialization is taking place.
