An easy RAID management
The RAID management can be thought the LCD control panel; RS232 port or Ethernet port. Most of configuration and monitoring can be down through the LCD control panel manually. The Firmware also contains an embedded terminal emulation via the RS-232 port. The firmware-embedded Web Browser-Based RAID manager allows local or remote to access it from any standard internet browser via a LAN or WAN with no software or patches required. The firmware contain SMPT manager monitors all system events and user can select either single or multiple user notifications to be sent via “Plain English” e-mail.
The firmware-embedded SNMP agent allows remote to monitor events via LAN with no SNMP agent required. The controller also supports API library for customer to write its own monitor utility. The Single Admin Portal (SAP) monitor utility can support one application to manage multiple RAID units in the network. The Disk Stress Test utility kicks out disks testing to meet marginal spec before the RAID unit actually put on-line for real business. The hardware monitor can monitor system voltage, temperature and fan. The warning message will show on LCD, alarm buzzer and respect LED.
The mAGE316U40-FC has sixteen removable drive trays with key lock and each tray built-in power, HDD activity LED indicators for displaying the status of each single hard disk. Moreover, the enclosure is building an environmental monitor with the indicating LEDs for Power/FAN/TEMP status and mutable buzzer alarm; at LCD control panel for setup environmental monitoring configuration.
